Once the product is completed and the goods are packed, marked and ready for loading, a final inspection may be requested to be conducted on the premises of the manufacturer to ensure that the product conforms to specifications and contractual agreements. Depending on the requested percentage of control, VIDA inspectors carry out the inspection. When the inspection percentage is not specified by the clients, VIDA refers to the AQL guidelines and inspects the goods randomly in terms of quality, quantity, function (by referring to the user’s manual), workmanship, appearance, damage, dimensions, labels, packaging and marking to ensure that they are in compliance with the contract and documents presented by the client. Should testing be requested, VIDA makes sure that it takes samples and that these are sent to an accredited lab. In case the test must be witnessed by an inspector, VIDA inspectors will witness the testing process and report the results to the client as soon as possible. VIDA works only with labs which hold ISO 17025 accreditation or if they are recognized and certified by their country’s authorities.
