For critical orders and products, an independent inspector can be present in order to monitor the production process of your supplier to ensure that your specifications are strictly adhered to during the production and quality control phase. Should you find out that it is not being adhered to, you will still have enough time to find a reasonable solution at an early stage. For DPPM, a VIDA inspector will be part of the supplier’s production process and will take up office at your supplier’s production premise.
Why should “Production Process Controlling/Monitoring” be important to you?
DPPM can protect your investment and assure you that:
- The right materials with the agreed-on quality are used in production at all times
- Production capacity is scheduled so as to deliver the products on deadline
- It allows quick reaction if the supplier does not adhere to instructions, use the right raw material or if an error occurs
- It can bring you and your supplier closer, thus enabling a quicker and more efficient exchange of information.
