The final stage before shipment and final mounting is to conduct a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). FAT is carried out normally at the manufacturer’s testing platform, laboratory or premises at the request of client (Purchaser) to ensure that the equipments, components or parts functions without any problem and deviation and meet contractual requirements, specific and/or country norms or standards. Equipments, machineries, components and parts are numerous; therefore, there are various procedures to carry out the FAT on different equipments.

If, the tested equipments or components or parts DO NOT meet the requirements or norms or standards, then, NO “Release For Shipment Certificate (RFSC)” or “Inspection Release Note (IRN)” is issued by VIDA Inspection GmbH and the client is informed immediately.

Depending on the contract and/or Inspection and Testing Plan (ITP) and/or customer specific request, FAT witnessing or reviewing may be carried out by VIDA’s experienced Inspectors.

Why should “Technical Inspection / FAT” be important to you?

VIDA’s Technical Inspections and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) can help you:

- Assure that the equipment, parts, machineries and components are manufactured and operate according to the contractual requirements or standards or norms.

- Surface quality problems in early stage and before the item/s is shipped.

- Avoid late-delivery penalties or avoid losing a contract due to delays and quality issues on your supplier’s side.
